WHY TRAVEL WITH US?

Joining a trip with S and K Expeditions means you will receive consistency, quality, and a personal approach.

Consistency

Stef and Ken plan, organize, pack and guide each trip, and because of this we can guarantee the experience you get on your trip will be of equal quality to the trip you heard someone raving about. We take the time to consider trip feedback and work to continually improve our product.

Quality

With over 15 years each of guiding, instructional and outdoor educational experience, Stef and Ken are the guides you want in the back of your boat, setting the skin track, or leading the group if an emergency arises.

They are knowledgeable about the area, history and first nations culture on each trip, are excellent in the kitchen, around camp, and on the water or in the snow. They have current certifications in avalanche rescue and snow science, whitewater rescue, first aid and instruction, and work in the industry year-round, not just one or two trips per season. They know their stuff and want to share it with you!

Personal Approach

As Stef and Ken are not only the office team, logistics co-ordinators

and trip packers, but also the guides, each detail is taken care of by

one of them. This means when you ask a question, we really do have

the answer, and when you make a request this is personally taken

care of. We also run trips with small group sizes, and a high guide

to guest ratio, generally between 4 and 8 participants and 2 guides

on canoe trips and 1-6 participants and 1 guide on back country tours.

This means personal attention while on your canoe trip or back country

ski vacation, logistical ease because we are smaller groups, and the

opportunity for instruction and interaction 1 on 1 with your guide.

Trip Routes

Our whitewater canoe routes are selected to challenge the adventurer and on some trips to explore new and relatively undiscovered regions of British Columbia.

We select rivers with diverse scenery, fun whitewater and a chance to be where not many others have been.

On our backcountry tours avalanche hazard, weather and snow quality guide our decision making for trip location. We work to choose safe, fun, and appropriately challenging days or multi-day trips for each group based on skill level and objectives.

Food

While to some, food is just fuel, we believe food is an opportunity to bring people together and enjoy a little bit of luxury in our camp setting outdoors. On our multi-day trips we provide a smorgasbord of delicious and nutritious food, with something to delight each palate. We cater to most dietary restrictions (with advance notice) and pride ourselves on taking care of the belly on our trips!
